El Paso, TX (April 6, 2010) – If it weren’t for the PostalAnnex+ in the Redd Wind Village, those who couldn’t make it to the local post office by 5:30 pm on Tax Day 2010 would have to drive quite some distance in order to have their taxes post-marked Thursday, April 15th.

Luckily, store owner Pete Armendariz is willing to do the legwork for his community. On that day, he will transport all mail that is brought into his store before 7 pm to the main post office near the El Paso International Airport. That location features mail pick-up times until midnight on Tax Day, whereas all post offices in West El Paso and Canutillo stop picking up mail at 5:30 pm.

“I thought this would be a great way to save a lot of people the stress and hassle of driving 40 minutes across town to meet the deadline,” Pete says. “If they get their taxes to me by 7 pm, I’ll do all the work from there.”

 

Pete’s PostalAnnex+, located at 910 East Redd Road, Suite K, on the corner of Westwind Drive, is a convenient one-stop business service center. His store not only offers U.S. Postal Services, but also shipping through UPS and FedEx, passport photos, mailbox rentals, packaging supplies, photocopying, notary and a variety of other office services.
