Do you know someone in the military? From boot camp to deployment, even the toughest man or woman appreciates a little thoughtfulness from home. If you have friends or family in military, let them know they have your support by sending them one of these great care packages while they are at boot camp or deployed:

  1. Sports Care Package – If they can’t be home to participate in their favorite sporting events, send the sports to them! Fill the package with caps, t-shirts, and other items which have the logo of your service member’s favorite team. Include their team’s stats and rosters, some sports magazines, and non-perishable snacks he or she likes to eat while watching the game.
  2. Holiday Care Package – Spending the holidays away from home is tough, so send themed care packages for your service member’s favorite holidays. Include some seasonal treats and decorations to help them feel more festive away from home.
  3. Good Hygiene Care Package – The little things can make a big difference, so make sure your loved one has all the personal hygiene items he or she needs. Things like tissues, Q-tips, floss, lip balm, toothpaste, and nasal spray can help make deployment more bearable.
  4. Favorite Snacks Care Package – Break up the monotony of their current food choices by sending them their favorite treats. Popular items often include ramen noodles, cookies, chips, granola bars, dried fruit, and crackers. Even spices like crushed seasoning salt, red pepper flakes, sea salt, and black pepper can help make their food a little tastier.
  5. Fun & Games Care Package – Fill this care package with fun things to help them relax and pass any downtime. Items like books, crossword puzzles, travel board games, playing cards, and Frisbees will help your service member stay entertained.
  6. Birthday Care Package – Don’t let your service member’s birthday go by unnoticed! Send a birthday gift with things like cake-in-a-jar, his or her favorite snacks, a small gift, and a fun birthday card.
  7. Tech Savvy Care Package – For the gadget enthusiast, getting unplugged can be a tough transition, so send your service member Bluetooth speakers, handheld electronic games, and a portable DVD player. Don’t forget to send extra batteries to keep everything running! (Be sure to check with PostalAnnex for any restrictions on sending batteries.)
