With the holidays fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about different wines to serve with the upcoming festive meals.  Those living in Everett, WA who want to highlight Northwest wines at their holiday gatherings have just the place to go: Wicked Cellars.  Conveniently located in downtown Everett, Wicked Cellars is a local wine shop and tasting bar.  While they offer a wide variety of wines from around the world, Wicked features an extensive selection of Northwest wines.  Those who need beer in addition to wine can check out the selection of hand-crafted, artisan, micro-brews and ales.

Along with the variety of wines available, Wicked also features artwork.  The newest featured artist is Lisa Spreaker, a local artist who does assemblage and collage art.  Her work is in private collections worldwide, as well as in public art venues in Everett.  Along with Lisa’s work, Wicked is featuring art from Lisa’s granddaughter, Lauren, who is also an excellent artist.

Those inspired by Lisa and Lauren can sign up for the Corks and Canvas event at Wicked Cellars.  Everett locals can sip on amazing wines while being led through step-by-step instructions for painting the featured art.  All skill levels are welcome, and Corks and Canvas will provide all the supplies the first glass of wine.  At the end of the event, participants can take home their new artwork.  The first event is Monday, October 21st, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

After checking out the great wines and artwork, if you have wine or art to ship to out of town friends and family, visit the Everett PostalAnnex for UPS and FedEx shipping services.  For those who need to ship wine, the friendly professionals can safely package wine bottles for shipping, and they know the various state restrictions regarding shipping alcohol.
