Farmstead Arts Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing fine, performing and practical arts in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Center offers the community a variety of art classes and workshops, art exhibits, theatrical performances, and concerts. Located on the grounds of the historic Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead, the peaceful environment offers a great environment for artists to work, and local artists are able to use the rooms in the farmhouse as studio space.
When there is a show, the Farmstead Arts Gallery is open Sundays 1–4pm. Currently, Farmstead is hosting The Exhibitor’s Co-op Show and Sale until June 8, 2014. The Co-op is an extremely talented group of artists based in New Jersey. Many members have been featured in New York City gallery exhibits, published in art books, and accepted into national and international juried shows. Basking Ridge locals will want to make sure they stop by Farmstead to see the artwork and possibly own a piece for themselves.
In addition to the gallery and performing arts, Farmstead offers a variety of artistic classes and workshops for adults and children. Topics cover a variety of arts like dance, photography, painting and more. Space is often limited, so if you see something you want to learn, make sure to sign up as soon as possible.
If you purchase (or create!) artwork at Farmstead Arts Center that you would like to send to far away friends and family, stop by the Basking Ridge PostalAnnex to ship via UPS or FedEx.
