Rancho Santa Fe, CA locals who are looking to stock up on reading materials for the summer will want to pay a visit to The Book Cellar.  Located below the Rancho Santa Fe Library, this non-profit organization offers a great selection of gently used books.  Filled with collectors and first editions along with modern books, locals can relax in one of the comfy sofas and enjoy reading through some great finds.  The inventory changes daily, so stop by often to see what’s new.

The Book Cellar is managed by volunteer members of Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild, and all proceeds benefit the Guild.  The Guild raises funds to supplement the budget of the San Diego County Library.  Through the efforts of the Guild, the library is able to offer additional materials and programs, which would otherwise not be available to the Rancho Santa Fe community.

If you decide to thin out your personal library, donate your gently used books to The Book Cellar.  Donations are accepted during business hours, Monday through Friday, and the books must be in good condition, without torn covers, pages, or water and mold damage.

Along with offering the Rancho Santa Fe community a pleasant place to find great books, the Rancho Santa Fe Library Guild puts every book that’s donated to them to good use.  Some books go to the library; others are offered for sale in the Book Cellar, while the rest are donated to charities the library supports.  When you donate your gently loved books to the library, the rest of the community benefits.

If you purchase books from The Book Cellar that are perfect for an out-of-town friend or family member, stop by the Rancho Santa Fe PostalAnnex location for help with safely packing and shipping your gifts.  The friendly professionals at PostalAnnex can professionally pack your items and compare shipping rates between FedEx and UPS to find the best rate and service for shipping your books.
