August 30, 2013

With August and September being the months with the most birthdays, it’s probable that there are many birthday parties to attend over the next few weeks.  Luckily for those living in Portland, OR, they can pick up great toys and support a local business by shopping at Finnegan’s Toys and Gifts.  Located in the Stevens Building on Southwest Washington Street, Finnegan’s is a local landmark, serving Portland locals for over thirty years.

The largest locally-owned toy store in Portland store, Finnegan’s offers something for everyone. Upon entering the store, customers will be greeted with a friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of toys.  From classics to modern toys, Finnegan's offers an eclectic and extensive inventory that will appeal to even the most selective child.  Featuring fun and educational toys, customers can choose from board games, puzzles, dolls, stuffed animals, science kits and much more.

Finnegan’s was originally opened by Karen Leppmann in 1977.  She originally opened the shop in the west end but has since moved several times, ending up in the current location in downtown Portland in 2011.  Leppmann still works in the store today and does much of the buying.

If you need to ship toys to out of town friends or family, visit one of the Portland, OR PostalAnnex locations for FedEx shipping or UPS shipping services.  The friendly professionals can even compare the two carriers to help you determine which service best fits your needs.
