With the Menifee Union School District getting ready to start the fall semester in August, some local parents might want to find some activities for their children to enjoy before heading back to school. The last art camp for kids at the Menifee location, “Under the Sea,” will be held July 29 – 31, 2014 from 9:30am to 1:00pm. Designed for students ages 7-14, participants get to enjoy three, fun-filled days of artsy activities including pottery painting, watercolors, and canvas painting. If the camp is too much of a time commitment, there are single classes available, where, over the course of an hour or two, students are guided by an instructor through a single project.
For adults who want to join in the fun, there are painting, clay, and glass fusing classes available. As with classes for students, participants are guided by an experienced instructor through a specific project. Materials are included in the price of the class, and those who choose to join in the fun can bring their own snacks and drinks to enjoy. Those who would rather do their own art project can drop in and use the studio for pottering painting or glass fusing.
