Storytime attendees will get to decorate pumpkins and color, and all participating children will receive a free book and snacks. Those who choose to come dressed up can also compete in a fun costume contest. In addition, all Halloween books are on sale for Buy-One-Get-One-Free until the end of October.
$5 Or Less Bookstore took a chance and opened in 2009 during the economic downturn. The risk paid off, and the shop was a hit in the community. By the end of 2009, the bookstore had outgrown their space, and the shop has had to relocate several times to accommodate their growing demand. Just this past summer 2014, the shop relocated yet again to their current location in Sycamore Village in Simi Valley, CA.
