Since opening in 1977, the shop has changed owners and locations several times. Most recently, Melanie Vancil purchased the store in 2011 and relocated it to its current home at Franklin Mall in Santa Clara.  She has made some updates to the product selection at the store and has worked hard to offer the Santa Clara community a wide variety of threads, canvases, cross stitch patterns, knitting supplies, and more.

Melanie has also expanded the product inventory and store specialties to include embroidery, crochet, and tatting. Santa Clara locals are invited to attend the regular group meetings and socialize with other avid stitchers.  Current classes include basic needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, and tatting, and there are plans to expand a needlework school.
