April 5, 2013

In a few weeks, thousands of people are expected to head out to the Coachella Valley for the popular Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, happening on the back-to-back weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21.  An exciting way to experience Coachella is to take advantage of the onsite camping areas, located on grass fields by the festival performance area. Those who are camping can arrive as early as 9:00am on April 11th and April 18th to stake out their area. While there will be plenty of places to get food inside the venue and in the campgrounds, make sure to stop at Jalisco, Coachella’s first Mexican restaurant, for at least one meal.

A Coachella city landmark, Jalisco opened its doors in 1980 at 1605 Sixth Street, and over 20 years later, they are in the same spot and still family owned and staffed.  The family wanted to give their neighbors in the Coachella Valley a taste of the flavors of the state of Jalisco, Mexico, so they specialize in a tasty fare of tacos, burritos, tortas, and birria ‘Al estilo Jalisciense’ (Jalisco style).  As a local business, Jalisco takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and they truly appreciate their clientele.  Those attending Coachella won’t want to miss the opportunity to try out Jalisco!

If you get some souvenirs from Coachella, the Coachella PostalAnnex can ship them home for you via UPS shipping, FedEx shipping, or USPS shipping.  And if you leave important items behind at Coachella, like a phone charger, camera, etc, Coachella PostalAnnex will pick up your items and ship them to you.
