Concord, CA locals and visitors have the opportunity to make beautiful chocolates with renowned chocolatier Rachel Dunn Chocolates.  To join in the fun, enroll in one of the chocolate-making workshops where participants learn to create their own American and French specialty chocolates.  Workshops lasts 1 ½ - 2 hours and are conducted inside the Rachel Dunn chocolate factory in Concord. Those who want to attend can either call the factory to register, or sign up on the Rachel Dunn Chocolates website.  Private workshops are also available for large groups.

Workshop participants are in for a real treat.  The class is guided by Rachel herself through creating, dipping and decorating an assortment of chocolates.  Past workshops have included treats like tuxedo dipped strawberries, whoopie pies, white house chocolate cake, truffles, English toffee, sea salt caramels, and candied citrus peels.  Some classes have even made moulded chocolates like bird’s nests and filled eggs, truffle flowers and pots, decorated high heeled shoes, and more. Chocolate selections vary by workshop as Rachel takes into consideration the age group of the participants, the weather, and seasonal ingredients.

Rachel Dunn Chocolates has been creating quality chocolates since 1984.  Using only the best ingredients, they make their treats daily to ensure that customers have the freshest confections. Those lucky enough to live in the Concord area should make sure to stop by the chocolate factory to see what’s currently being made and pick up a treat to take home.

If you make chocolates in the workshop that you want to share with an out-of-town friend or family member, stop by the Concord PostalAnnex to ship via UPS or FedEx.  The friendly professionals at PostalAnnex can even compare shipping rates to find the best rate and service for shipping your packages.
