Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if you’ve got a nature loving Valentine, why not get something unique?  Locals of Auburn, CA have the perfect place to go for nature themed gifts – Avantgarden.  Located in a vintage 1920’s service station in historic downtown Auburn, Avantgarden opened in June of 2001.  The owner, Kim Wright, is a landscape architect by profession, but she always wanted to own her own retail business.  Out of that dream came a place where Auburn locals can pick up gardening supplies along with nature themed gifts.

Avantgarden offers a variety of plants, decorative house wares and unique gift items.  This nature inspired shop is a treasure trove for nature loving folks.  Outside, customers will find a variety of pots and containers along with perennials, annuals, succulents, indoor plants and air plants.  Venturing inside the shop, customers will be thrilled to find unique, hand made art from artists across the whole country.  From jewelry to dishes, the unique gift items are all nature themed, and customers will be hard pressed to find similar items anywhere else.  In April 2012, Avantgarden expanded their current location into open space just around the corner on Lincoln Way. The High Street portion of Avantgarden has remained the same, but the Lincoln Way portion is devoted to home décor, women’s accessories, linens, tableware and jewelry.

If you find a Valentine’s Day Gift for a nature-loving, out-of-town loved one, the Auburn PostalAnnex location can ship your gifts via UPS shipping or FedEx shipping.  The friendly professionals at PostalAnnex can even compare shipping rates to find the best rate and service for shipping your Valentine’s Day gifts.
