For the past 10 years, the Village Merchants Association of La Mesa, CA has hosted an antique street faire, similar an old fashioned Midwest flea market.  La Mesa is popular for the variety of antique stores in the downtown village, and the street faire is the perfect time to stop by and check them out.  On Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 9 am to 4 pm, head to downtown La Mesa to enjoy live music and entertainment and browse through a variety of antiques and collectibles.

This year’s faire will feature over 100 antique dealers along two blocks of La Mesa Blvd in the downtown village. Along with all the different antiques and collectibles, participants can also check out the local specialty shops, restaurants, coffee houses and pubs in the area. There is free admission and parking, so even if you’re not looking to purchase antiques, you’ll still want to stop by and participate in the fun.

One of the participating antique stores is Collectiquity, a family-run business that has been a part of the community for more than 10 years.  Owned by Michelle and Ramos Rios, the store specializes in merchandise from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.  Those attending the Antique Street Fair will want to stop by Collectiquity to look for vintage art, furniture, lamps and glass.

If you purchase antiques at the La Mesa Antique Street Fair that you need to ship, the

La Mesa PostalAnnex can ship your items via UPS shipping or FedEx shipping.  The friendly professionals at PostalAnnex can even compare shipping rates to find the best rate and service for shipping your antiques and collectables.
